way way long way to go ( I started this last night)

So, I’ve decided that every year for the rest of my life I will make or build the word “design”. It started last year with some basic questions I had about what design actually is, and it’s turned into me asking some more specific questions about design’s actual capabilities.
I realize that I may never be able to completely answer these questions, and the many other questions the first two lead to, but in an attempt to get closer to some sort of solution I have decided to physically work with the vocabulary.

I’m planning on bleaching the birch pieces and arranging them on a white wall so that there is some shadow play, in addition to the strong visual repetition (which is representative of the number of times I literally question design)

Last year was some bent pieces with walnut veneer applied to them.

I’m kind of excited to see where this takes me in twenty years or so!!
